Zero-day attacks are a growing concern for organizations both large and small. They tend to be more damaging and slower to detect than traditional attacks, making them a serious threat to businesses of all sizes.

While there is no foolproof way to prevent zero-day attacks, there are several effective strategies that can help mitigate the risk.

  1. Educate employees. One of the best ways to prevent zero-day attacks is to educate employees about the risks and how to identify them. Make sure they are aware of the signs that an attack is imminent and have a plan in place to respond.
  2. Install security software. Security software can help identify and block malicious files and attacks. Make sure it is up-to-date and has been tested for zero-day attacks.
  3. Harden systems. By hardening systems, you can reduce the chances of being targeted by a zero-day attack. This includes installing anti-virus software, updating software, and configuring security settings properly.
  4. Educate customers. Customers are a potential source of an attack, so it is important to educate them about the risks and how to protect themselves. Make sure they know about the signs of a zero-day attack and how to report them.

While there is no foolproof way to prevent zero-day attacks, these are some effective strategies that can help mitigate the risk.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
