YouTube is a great source of information, entertainment, and education. However, it is not uncommon to come across channels that you don’t like or find offensive. Luckily, there is an easy way to block such channels and ensure that you don’t see their content anymore. In this article, we’ll show you how to block YouTube channels.

Step 1: Sign in to YouTube

The first step is to sign in to your YouTube account. This will give you access to the settings and features that you need to block channels.

Step 2: Enter the channel name

Next, find the channel that you want to block. You can do this by searching for their name and entering it into the search bar. Once you find the channel, click on it to enter their profile.

Step 3: Click on the three dots

On the channel page, you will see three dots next to the subscribe button. Click on these dots to reveal a dropdown menu.

Step 4: Select “Block User”

From the dropdown menu, select “Block User.” This will prevent the channel’s videos from appearing on your YouTube feed and recommended videos.

Step 5: Confirm the block

Once you click on “Block User,” you’ll be asked to confirm the action. You can either click on “Cancel” if you change your mind, or “Block” to proceed with the action.

Step 6: Enjoy YouTube without the blocked channels

Once you confirm the block, you won’t see any more videos from the blocked channel. This means that your YouTube experience will be free from any content that you don’t like or find offensive.

Conclusion

By following these six easy steps, you can easily block YouTube channels and enjoy a personalized YouTube experience. Whether you’re trying to avoid channels with political views that don’t align with your own, or you’re simply trying to keep your YouTube feed clean, blocking channels is an effective way to achieve your goals. So go ahead and block the channels that you don’t like, and enjoy YouTube the way you want it.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
