Keeping your computer screen clean is essential to ensure that your device lasts longer and works efficiently. A smudgy, dusty, or stained screen can not only affect your viewing experience but also strain your eyes. Therefore, it is crucial to know how to clean a computer screen safely and easily.

Here are some tips to clean your computer screen:

1. Turn off the computer or at least turn off the monitor, as working on a dark screen helps identify the dirt and stains on it.

2. Use a microfiber cloth as it is soft and does not scratch the screen. Avoid using paper towels or rough fabrics as they can damage the screen.

3. Begin by dusting the screen using the microfiber cloth, wiping gently in a circular motion. Do not put too much pressure on the cloth as it may cause scratches.

4. Once the dust is cleared, use a screen cleaner solution, which is readily available in the market. Alternatively, you can also make a homemade cleaning solution by mixing equal parts of water and vinegar.

5. Dampen the microfiber cloth with the cleaning solution and wipe the screen gently in a circular motion. Avoid spraying the solution directly on the screen; it may seep into the cracks and damage the screen permanently.

6. For tough stains, use a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush, dipped in the cleaning solution. Gently scrub the area, where the stain is visible, in a circular motion.

7. Once the cleaning is done, let the screen air-dry for some time. Do not power on the computer until the screen is completely dry.

8. Also, make sure to clean the keyboard and other parts of the computer with a separate cloth.

Remember, cleaning the computer screen regularly not only ensures a clear viewing experience but also helps protect your eyes from straining. A clean and dust-free screen is the best way to keep your computer in pristine condition. Follow these simple tips to clean your computer screen safely and easily.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
