How to Share a Google Form

Sharing a Google Form can help you collect responses from a group of people quickly and easily. Whether it’s for a survey, feedback, or an event registration, sharing a form can save a lot of time and effort. Here’s how you can share a Google Form with others:

Step 1: Open the Google Form

First, open the Google Form you want to share. You can either create a new form or open an existing one from your Google Drive.

Step 2: Click on ‘Send’

In the top-right corner of the form, you’ll find a ‘Send’ button. Click on it, and a window will open up with various options to share the form.

Step 3: Choose a Sharing Option

There are three ways to share your Google Form: via email, link, or by embedding the form on a website.

Email: If you want to send the form directly to someone’s email address, you can enter their email in the ‘To’ field and add a personal message. You can also add multiple email addresses or a group distribution list.

Link: If you want to share the form on social media platforms, in a chat or a forum, you can copy the link and paste it wherever you want. Anyone with the link can access the form and fill it out.

Embed: If you have a website or a blog, you can embed the form on a page on your site. This allows visitors to fill out the form without leaving your website. You can copy the HTML code of the form and paste it on your website’s HTML editor.

Step 4: Customize the Form Settings

Before sharing the form, you can customize the settings to determine who can access the form and who can fill it out. You can choose to limit access to specific email addresses or allow anyone with the link to complete the form. You can also enable or disable respondents to edit their responses, allow multiple responses per person, or set a deadline for submissions.

Step 5: Send the Form

Once you’ve finalized the sharing settings, click on the ‘Send’ button, and the form will be sent to the chosen recipients. When people access the form, they’ll be directed to a page where they can fill out the form and submit their responses.

Sharing a Google Form is an efficient and user-friendly way to collect data from multiple people. With these simple steps, you can share your form with ease and start collecting responses from your respondents in no time.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
