As an iPhone user, you may be aware of the fact that iOS 16 brings a new feature to keep your photos hidden. However, it is crucial to know how to lock a hidden photo album on iPhone with iOS 16 to ensure your privacy and security.

The hidden photo album feature on iOS 16 enables you to keep sensitive, unsaved photos away from prying eyes. They are separate from your main photo library and accessible only with a passcode. You can take advantage of this feature to create different albums to organize your photos.

To lock a hidden photo album on iPhone with iOS 16, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Photos app on your iPhone and tap on the “Albums” tab at the bottom.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on the “Hidden” album.

Step 3: Select the photo you want to hide or add to the hidden album, and tap on the “Share” icon.

Step 4: In the share sheet that appears, tap on “Hide.”

Step 5: Confirm that you want to hide the photo by tapping on “Hide Photo.”

Step 6: Once the photo is hidden, you can view it in the “Hidden” album.

Step 7: To lock the hidden album, you need to set a passcode. To do this, go to your iPhone Settings app and scroll down to “Photos.”

Step 8: On the Photos screen, select “Hidden Album.”

Step 9: Switch on “Hidden Album” to make it visible in your Photos app.

Step 10: Tap on “Set Passcode” to create a four-digit passcode for the hidden album.

Step 11: Enter the passcode twice to confirm it.

Step 12: Once you have set the passcode, your hidden album will be locked.

You can also disable the hidden album at any time by turning off “Hidden Album” in the Photos settings. To re-enable it and access your hidden photos, you need to set a new passcode.

In conclusion, keeping your photos private is essential to protect your privacy and security. Follow these steps to lock a hidden photo album on iPhone with iOS 16 to keep your sensitive photos away from prying eyes. By taking advantage of this feature, you can have more control over your photos and organize them in a way that is more secure and private.
