How to Use Your Google Home as a Bluetooth Speaker
Google Home has become a popular choice when it comes to smart home speakers. This device comes with excellent features that make it easy to control various smart devices in your home. Besides its smart features, Google Home can also double up as a Bluetooth speaker. With this feature, you can enjoy streaming your favorite music, podcasts, and more from your phone to your Google Home. Here are the steps to follow to use your Google Home as a Bluetooth speaker.
Step 1: Pair your Phone with Google Home
The first step is to pair your phone with your Google Home. To do this, make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth is on, and your Google Home is turned on and connected to your Wi-Fi. Next, say “Hey Google” or “OK Google” to activate the voice assistant. Then say, “Turn on Bluetooth pairing.” Your Google Home will then enter pairing mode.
On your phone, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and look for available devices. You should see “Google Home” on the list. Tap on it to pair your phone with your Google Home. Once your phone is paired, you can play any audio content of your choice.
Step 2: Play Your Audio Content
Play music, podcasts, or any other audio content on your phone once it’s connected to your Google Home. Google Home will automatically detect and receive the audio output from your phone. To do this, open your music app, select the content you want to play, and tap the play button. Your audio content will start playing on your Google Home, and you can control it using the Google Home app, your phone, or by saying “Hey Google” followed by your commands.
Step 3: Stop Playback
If you’re done playing your audio content, you can stop the playback by using the Google Home app, your phone, or by saying “Hey Google, stop playback,” or “Hey Google, pause.”
Using Google Home as a Bluetooth speaker is an excellent way to stream your music and audio content. However, it’s important to note that the audio quality may differ, depending on the device being used and the app in question. Additionally, some apps may require specific configurations before streaming audio content. Therefore, it’s best to check your app’s settings to ensure that everything is correctly set up.
