Spotify is one of the best music streaming services with a vast library of songs, albums and playlists that you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. However, sometimes you might find yourself wanting to hide songs that you no longer enjoy or are ashamed of, or simply want to declutter your playlist. Thankfully, Spotify offers an easy way to hide and unhide songs, so you can enjoy your music library without any distractions.

Here’s a quick guide on how to hide and unhide songs on Spotify:

How to Hide Songs on Spotify:

Step 1: Open the Spotify app on your desktop or mobile device.

Step 2: Navigate to the playlist or album that contains the song(s) you want to hide.

Step 3: Find the song you want to hide and right-click on it if you’re using a desktop, or swipe left if you’re using a mobile device.

Step 4: Select the “Hide song” option from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: Repeat the process for all songs you want to hide.

Alternatively, you can also hide songs by creating a new playlist and adding all the songs you want to hide to that playlist. Then, right-click on the playlist and select “Make secret” to hide the entire playlist, including the songs.

Now, the hidden songs won’t appear in your playlists, and you won’t hear them when using the shuffle feature. However, they are still in your library, and you can unhide them anytime you want.

How to Unhide Songs on Spotify:

Step 1: Open the Spotify app on your desktop or mobile device.

Step 2: Navigate to the playlist or album where the hidden song(s) are located.

Step 3: Click the “Edit” button or the three-dot menu next to the playlist/album title.

Step 4: Toggle the “Show unplayable songs” option.

Step 5: The hidden songs will appear greyed out. Right-click on the song you want to unhide and select “Unhide song.”

Step 6: Repeat the process for all songs you want to unhide.

If you’ve hidden an entire playlist, you can make it visible again by clicking the “Secret” tab in your library, right-clicking on the playlist, and selecting “Make public.”
