With the advent of new technology, smart TVs have become a popular choice for many households. But for some people, smart features are not necessary, and they prefer a simpler setup that does not come with additional bells and whistles. Dumb TVs, or non-smart TVs, continue to be a viable option for those who require a basic display without the need for internet connectivity, streaming, or voice assistants. Here are the best dumb TVs without smart features:

1. Samsung 32-Inch N5300 Smart Full HD TV

While the Samsung N5300 is technically marketed as a smart TV, its lack of advanced features makes it a good choice for those seeking a dumb TV. The 32-inch screen size is perfect for smaller rooms, and the Full HD resolution delivers crisp, clear images. The TV also comes with two HDMI ports, which allow you to connect any external devices, such as a Blu-ray player or gaming console, to your TV.

2. Vizio D24hn-G9 24-inch HD TV

The Vizio D24hn-G9 is a small, budget-friendly TV that offers good value for its price. The 24-inch display delivers HD resolution, and the TV also has one HDMI, one USB port, and a PC input. The TV does not come with any built-in speakers, but it does have a 3.5mm audio output to connect headphones or external speakers.

3. LG 32LK610BPUA 32-Inch TV

The LG 32LK610BPUA is a basic 32-inch TV with a 720p HD resolution. The TV comes with two HDMI ports, one USB port, and a component video input. The picture quality is good, and the TV also features LG’s virtual surround sound technology, which provides a more immersive audio experience.

4. Insignia NS-32DF310NA19 32-inch Smart TV

The Insignia NS-32DF310NA19 is another TV marketed as a smart TV but can be considered a dumb TV due to its limited smart features. The 32-inch display provides HD resolution, and the TV also comes with two HDMI ports, one USB port, and a component video input. The TV does not support voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant, but it does come with Amazon’s Fire TV built-in, which allows you to stream content from popular apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.

5. Sony KDL-32R300C 32-Inch TV

The Sony KDL-32R300C is a basic 32-inch TV with a 720p resolution. The TV comes with two HDMI inputs, one USB port, and a component video input. The TV’s picture quality is good, and its brand reliability is a plus for many. The TV does not feature any smart features, but it is still an excellent choice for those who prefer a simple display without the need for internet connectivity or streaming.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
