Learning to play the guitar can be an exciting journey, but where do you start? With thousands of options available, selecting a learning method can be overwhelming. The good news is, many apps can assist you in taking the guitar learning process to the next level. There is a myriad of free guitar learning apps available, but only a few are truly worth your time. We’ve put together an article highlighting the best free apps for learning to play the guitar.

1. Guitar Tricks

This app’s lessons are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced level guitarists. It is especially helpful for those who are just starting or have very little experience with the instrument. The app offers free tutorials teaching the basics, including chords, scales, and techniques. Justin Guitar is one of the most popular guitar learning sites and apps, offering both free and paid content. Players can start with basic chords and progress to advanced chords, making the app a great fit for any level of guitarist. Ultimate Guitar is the all-in-one app for any guitar player, with a vast library of tabs, chords, and lyrics to any song. The app is excellent for both beginners and advanced players, providing them with tools to learn a song, master different techniques and efficiently switch between chords. The app’s feature also includes a metronome, tuner, and guitar backing tracks, helping guitar players practice and learn easily.
