A Windows 10 theme is a collection of settings, colors, sounds, and visual elements that customize the look and feel of your Windows 10 operating system. Themes allow you to personalize your desktop and make it more visually appealing, while also expressing your own personal style.

Windows 10 comes with a number of built-in themes that you can choose from, including themes that are inspired by nature, abstract designs, and even specific color schemes. You can also create your own themes or download new themes from the Microsoft Store or other third-party sources.

A Windows 10 theme consists of several different elements that can be customized. These elements include:

1. Desktop background: This is the image or color that appears behind your desktop icons and windows.

2. Accent color: This is the color that appears on certain elements of your Windows interface, such as the Start menu, taskbar, and title bars.

3. Sounds: You can customize the sounds that Windows 10 plays for various events, such as notifications, system alerts, and user actions.

4. Mouse pointers: You can choose from a variety of different mouse pointer designs to customize the look of your mouse cursor.

5. Icons: You can customize the icons that appear on your desktop and in your file explorer windows.

6. Wallpapers: Windows 10 themes may also include additional wallpapers that you can use to further customize your desktop.

To apply a Windows 10 theme, simply go to the Settings app, select Personalization, and then click on Themes. From here, you can browse through the built-in themes or select a theme that you have downloaded or created yourself. Once you apply a theme, your desktop and other Windows 10 elements will be updated to reflect the new look and feel.

Overall, Windows 10 themes are a great way to customize your desktop and make it your own. Whether you’re looking for a theme that’s minimalistic and clean, or one that’s bright and colorful, there’s a Windows 10 theme out there that’s perfect for you.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
