Windows 10 has a powerful built-in tool that can be used to take screenshots and annotate them. This tool is called Snip and Sketch. With Snip and Sketch, you can quickly capture a screen or portion of it and then edit or annotate it. Here’s how to use Snip and Sketch in Windows 10:

Step 1: Open the Snip and Sketch app

You can open the Snip and Sketch app in several ways:

– Press the Windows key + Shift + S to open the app in a snipping mode.

– Type “Snip & Sketch” in the search bar and click on the result to open the app.

– Open the Start menu, scroll down to the “Windows Accessories” folder and click on “Snip & Sketch”.

Step 2: Snip the screen

When you have the Snip and Sketch app open, click on the “New” button to start snipping the screen. You will see a crosshair cursor that you can use to select the part of the screen that you want to capture. Simply click and drag the cursor to capture the area that you want to snip.

Step 3: Edit the screenshot

Once you have captured the screenshot, it will automatically open in the Snip and Sketch app. You can now start editing the screenshot. The app lets you annotate, crop, draw, add text, and highlight parts of the screenshot.

Step 4: Save the screenshot

When you’re done editing the screenshot, click on the “Save” button to save the image to your device. You can choose where you want to save the image and give it a name.

Snip and Sketch is a powerful tool that can be used to take screenshots and annotate them quickly and efficiently. It’s perfect for capturing web pages, software bugs, and tutorials. With this app, you can easily share your screenshots with others, which is especially useful for work purposes. Now that you know how to use Snip and Sketch, you can start taking and editing screenshots like a pro!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
