How to use all the berries in Pokemon Go

Pokémon GO is an immersive and popular mobile game that allows players to catch Pokémon in the real world. A crucial part of capturing these virtual creatures lies in the use of different types of berries. Each berry has its own unique effect, and learning how and when to use them can greatly help in catching and training Pokémon more effectively. In this article, we will discuss the various berries available in Pokémon GO and provide tips on how to make the most out of them.

1. Razz Berry

The Razz Berry is one of the most basic but essential berries in the game. Its primary function is to make it easier to catch a wild Pokémon by increasing the catch rate. To use the Razz Berry, simply access your Item Bag during an encounter with a wild Pokémon, select it, and then tap on the creature. Keep in mind that using a Razz Berry will only affect your next throw, so you may need to use more than one if you continue to miss.

2. Nanab Berry

If you have ever encountered a particularly jumpy or restless Pokémon, then you know how difficult they can be to capture. That’s when using a Nanab Berry comes in handy! This berry calms down wild Pokémon, reducing their movement or attack rate for a short period. Again, simply access your Item Bag during the encounter and apply it like the Razz Berry.

3. Pinap Berry

Another useful berry is called the Pinap Berry, designed especially for those users who want to maximize their candy yield when catching a wild Pokémon. Upon using this berry and successfully catching that critter in your next throw, you will receive double the amount of candies compared to a regular capture. This comes in handy for evolving or powering up rare or high-level Pokémon.

4. Golden Razz Berry

As an upgraded version of the Razz Berry, the Golden Razz Berry significantly boosts your catch rate, making it essential for capturing rare or high CP (combat power) Pokémon. These are typically earned as rewards for winning Raid Battles, but they can also be found in some research tasks. Usage of this berry is the same as that of the Razz Berry.

5. Silver Pinap Berry

The Silver Pinap Berry is the ideal choice when you want to double up on bonuses. It increases your catch rate like a Razz Berry while also doubling the candies received like a Pinap Berry. Obtained mostly from research tasks or special events, the Silver Pinap Berry can be a game-changer when trying to catch and evolve powerful Pokémon.

In conclusion, utilizing berries effectively in Pokémon GO can greatly enhance your gaming experience and improve your chances of capturing elusive creatures. By familiarizing yourself with their unique properties and using them strategically, you can expand your Pokédex and become a better Pokémon Trainer. Go out there, and catch ’em all!
