Windows 11 has brought some major changes to the operating system, including updates to its apps. Updating apps on Windows 11 is a simple process that can be done in just a few clicks. Here’s how to keep your apps up-to-date on Windows 11.

1. Open the Microsoft Store

The first step in updating your apps on Windows 11 is to open the Microsoft Store. You can search for it in the Start menu or simply press the Microsoft Store icon in the taskbar.

2. Click on the three dots

In the top right corner of the Microsoft Store window, you will see three dots. Click on this to open the menu.

3. Choose Downloads and Updates

In the menu, you will see the option for Downloads and Updates. Click on this to open the Downloads and Updates window.

4. Click on Get Updates

In the Downloads and Updates window, you will see a list of available updates for your apps. You can choose to update the apps individually or click on the Get Updates button to update all apps at once.

5. Wait for the updates to download and install

Once you have clicked on Get Updates, wait for the updates to download and install automatically. The process may take a few minutes depending on the size of the updates and your internet speed.

6. Restart the app if necessary

In some cases, you may need to restart the app after the update has been installed. You can simply click on the Restart button next to the updated app in the Downloads and Updates window.

That’s it! Your apps are now updated and ready to use. By keeping your apps up-to-date on Windows 11, you can ensure that you have access to the latest features, bug fixes, security updates, and more. With the easy-to-follow steps listed above, you can make sure your apps are always running smoothly and efficiently.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
