Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms with millions of active users. It allows users to share pictures, videos and stories with their followers. A story on Instagram is a feature that allows you to post photos or videos that disappear after 24 hours. This article will guide you through the steps to post a story on Instagram.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app

First, open the Instagram app on your phone. You can find the Instagram app on your home screen or in the app drawer. Once you open the app, sign in to your account or create a new one if you don’t have one.

Step 2: Tap on the camera icon

Once you are signed in, you will see the Instagram home page. At the top left corner, you will see a camera icon, tap on it. The camera icon will give you access to your phone’s camera and the option to take pictures or videos from your camera roll.

Step 3: Take a picture or record a video

When you tap on the camera icon, you will see the camera interface. If you want to take a picture or record a video using the front or rear camera, click on the ‘Photo’ option or hold down the ‘Video’ button to record a video. You can add filters, stickers, or text to your picture or video to make it more interesting.

Step 4: Add location and hashtag

After taking your picture or video, you can add a location and hashtag to your post. You can add the location by tapping on the ‘Add location’ button and typing the name of the location. The hashtags can be added by typing in the text box with the pound sign. You can also search for a particular hashtag or create a new one.

Step 5: Post your story

Once you’ve added everything you want to share, tap on the ‘Your story’ button located at the bottom left corner of the screen. The photo or video you have taken will be posted on your story for your followers to view. You can also post your story to your Facebook account by turning on the ‘Share to Facebook’ toggle.

In conclusion, Instagram stories are a great way to share your daily activities with your followers. This article has provided you with a step-by-step guide on how to post a story on Instagram. Remember to add interesting filters, stickers, locations, and hashtags to your story to make it more engaging. Happy Instagramming!
