Nintendo Switch is known for its unique features that allow players to enjoy their favorite games anywhere, anytime. One of the most popular features is game sharing, which allows players to share digital games with their friends or family without the need for physical game discs. In this article, we will guide you on how to gameshare on Nintendo Switch and make the most out of your gaming experience.

What is Game Sharing?

Game sharing is the process of sharing digital games with friends or family members without the need for a physical game disc. This feature is available on the Nintendo Switch console and allows players to buy one game and share it with another Nintendo Switch owner.

How to Game Share on Nintendo Switch

The process of game sharing on Nintendo Switch is straightforward and easy to follow. However, there are certain requirements and limitations that you need to consider before sharing your games. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to gameshare on Nintendo Switch.

Step 1: Set Up a Nintendo Account

Before you can start game sharing on your Nintendo Switch console, you need to have a Nintendo account. If you don’t have an account, create one by going to the Nintendo website or signing up directly from your Nintendo Switch console.

Step 2: Link Your Nintendo Account to Your Switch Console

To link your Nintendo account to your Switch console, go to the “System Settings” option on the home screen. Select the “User” option and scroll down to “Add a User.” Follow the prompts to create a new user account or link your existing Nintendo account.

Step 3: Set Your Console as Your Primary Console

To share your games with another Nintendo Switch owner, you need to set your console as your primary console. To do this, go to the Nintendo eShop and select your profile picture. In the “Account Information” section, select the “Primary Console” option and follow the prompts.

Step 4: Share Your User Account with Your Friend or Family

Once you’ve set up your Nintendo account and linked it to your Switch console, you can share your user account with your friends or family members. To do this, ask them to log in to your user account on their Switch console. This will allow them to access your digital games on their console.
Note: You can only share your digital games with one user account at a time. If another user account tries to access your games, they will be prompted to purchase them.

Step 5: Download Your Digital Games

To download your digital games on your friend’s Switch console, go to the Nintendo eShop and select the “Download” option. All the games that you’ve purchased and shared can be downloaded for free on their console. However, you need to have an active internet connection to download the games.

Step 6: Enjoy Your Games

Now that you’ve downloaded your digital games on your friend’s Switch console, you can enjoy playing together. You can also switch between consoles and continue playing from where you left off.
