How to Delete Messages on Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger has become one of the most popular instant messaging applications available today. It lets you send messages to your friends and family members, no matter where they are in the world. However, there may be instances where you want to delete a message you have sent or received on Messenger. Here is a quick guide on how to delete messages on Facebook Messenger.

Deleting Individual Messages

Step 1: Open the Messenger App

The first step is to open the Messenger app on your phone. You will be taken to your inbox, where you can see all the conversations that you have had with your contacts.

Step 2: Locate the Message

Find the message you want to delete. Tap and hold the message until a menu of options appears.

Step 3: Select Delete

Select the ‘Delete’ option from the menu. You will see a message that asks you whether you want to delete the message for everyone or just for you. Select the appropriate option before proceeding.

Deleting a Conversation

Step 1: Open the Messenger App

Open the Messenger app on your phone and navigate to the conversation you want to delete.

Step 2: Swipe Left

Swipe left on the conversation that you want to delete. You will see a red ‘Delete’ button appear.

Step 3: Confirm Delete

Tap the ‘Delete’ button to confirm that you want to delete the conversation. You will see a message that asks you whether you want to delete the conversation for everyone or just for you. Select the appropriate option before proceeding.

Deleting Messages on Messenger Using Your Computer

Step 1: Open Messenger

Open the Messenger website on your computer, and log in to your account.

Step 2: Find the Message

Find the message you want to delete, and click on it.

Step 3: Select Delete

Click on the ‘Options’ button (the three dots) next to the message you want to delete. Select ‘Delete’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Confirm Delete

Click on the ‘Delete’ button to confirm that you want to delete the message. You will see a message that asks you whether you want to delete the message for everyone or just for you. Select the appropriate option before proceeding.

Facebook Messenger is a great app for communication, but sometimes you may want to delete messages and conversations. This is easy to do, and Facebook has made it simple and straightforward. Just follow the steps outlined in this guide, and you will be able to delete messages on Facebook Messenger with ease.
