If you’re running out of space on your iPhone or just want to monitor the size of the apps you have installed, checking the size of apps on your iPhone is a simple process. Here’s how you can do it.

Step 1:

Navigate to the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2:

Scroll down until you find the “General” option and tap on it.

Step 3:

Next, tap on “iPhone Storage.” This is where you can see a breakdown of how much space is being taken up on your iPhone by individual apps.

Step 4:

Wait a few seconds for your iPhone to load the list of apps installed on your device with their respective sizes.

Step 5:

The list will show you which of your apps take up the most space. By default, the apps are sorted by the amount of space they’re using, with the largest ones at the top. You can also tap on the “Size” label to sort the apps by size, alphabetical order or most recent used.

Step 6:

Next to each app, you’ll see the amount of space it’s currently taking up on your iPhone. Tap on a particular app to get more information, such as how much space the app itself takes up, how much data it has stored, and how much space is being taken up by the app’s documents and data.

Step 7:

If you want to free up space on your iPhone, you can delete apps that are taking up too much space. To do this, simply swipe left on an app in the list and tap “Delete.” Alternatively, you can offload apps, which will free up space but keep the app’s data intact. To offload an app, tap on it in the list and then select “Offload App.”

There you have it! Checking the size of apps on your iPhone is a quick and easy way to monitor your device’s storage space and optimize it for better performance.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
