Spread the love

In today’s world, it is quite common for kids to own iPhones or iPads. These devices provide access to a plethora of applications and online platforms that can be both beneficial and harmful to your child’s development. In recent years, YouTube has become one of the most popular online platforms, beloved by adults and kids alike. It is an excellent source of entertainment, educational material, viral videos, and much more.

However, as a parent, you must ensure that your child uses the internet safely and securely. YouTube can be a great resource for your child, but it also has its share of inappropriate content that you don’t want your kid to be exposed to. Fortunately, there are a few free ways to block YouTube on your kid’s iPhone or iPad to help you rest easy knowing that your child is using the internet safely.

The following are some free ways to block YouTube on your kid’s iPhone or iPad.

1.Set restrictions on the device

The easiest and quickest way to block access to YouTube on your child’s iPhone or iPad is by enabling restrictions. This is a built-in feature in these devices that allow parents to control the content their child accesses, the apps they download, and the time spent on a specific app. The restrictions feature is available in the Settings app, where you can set a passcode and choose the apps and content you want to block. You can block access to YouTube by disabling the app from the list of installed apps.

2.Use YouTube Kids app

If you are looking for a way to allow your child access to YouTube but want to restrict the content that they view, you can download the YouTube Kids app. This app is designed specifically for kids and has an easy-to-use interface that filters out inappropriate content. The app contains age-appropriate videos, educational material, and other content that is safe for kids. You can download the YouTube Kids app from the App Store for free.

3.Use parental control apps

There are many parental control apps available for iOS devices, which allow parents to monitor and control their child’s internet usage. These apps provide advanced features like app blocking, content filtering, time restrictions, and online activity monitoring. Some of the most popular parental control apps include Qustodio, Norton Family, and FamiSafe. These apps are free to download but may have in-app purchases for additional features.
