In today’s digital world, search engines have become an essential tool for everyone. While everyone uses Google as their primary search engine, there is another option that people should consider using: Bing. Bing is a search engine that is owned by Microsoft and boasts of many advanced search tricks that people might not know about. In this article, we will explore some of the Bing advanced search tricks you should know.

1. Using Keywords in Search Results

When searching for information on Bing, users can use specific keywords to filter search results. For example, if you’re looking for information about a celebrity, you can use keywords such as “net worth,” “height,” or “spouse” to get more specific information. Similarly, if you’re researching a particular topic and want to limit the results you get, you can add keywords such as “research,” “study,” or “statistics” to get better and more specific results.

2. Using Quotes

One of the most useful search techniques is using quotes. When conducting a search on Bing, put the keywords in quotes, and the search engine will fetch results that match the exact phrase. For example, if you’re searching for “Marc Jacobs bags,” put the phrase within quotes to narrow down the search results to exactly Marc Jacobs bags, instead of unrelated results.

3. Using Parentheses

Parentheses are another powerful search tool in Bing. This is especially useful when you’re looking for specific phrases and don’t want to specify every keyword. For example, if you’re looking for articles on entertainment and want to exclude articles about sports, type “entertainment – (sports)” in the search bar to get the desired results.

4. Searching for Exact URLs

If you want to know if a particular URL exists, you can conduct a search using the syntax “url:” followed by the exact URL you’re looking for. For example, if you’re looking for information about a particular page on the Microsoft website, you can use the search modifier “url: Microsoft page.”

5. Using Boolean Operators

In order to make more complex searches, Bing offers its users a range of Boolean operators including AND, OR, NOT. These operators allow for more specific searches on things such as specific dates, file type, location or even specific domains.

In conclusion, Bing search engine can be a powerful tool in searching for specific information. By using these advanced search tricks, users can get better, more specific and richer results for the searches they conduct on the internet. Remember to use specific keywords, embrace Boolean operators, use quotes and parentheses while searching, you will get better outcomes from the searches you make.
