Introduction:

Sweet potato pudding is a rich and creamy dessert that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth while still packing in some nutritional benefits. This scrumptious treat is both easy to prepare and full of natural flavors. We’ve put together the best sweet potato pudding recipe that’ll leave you wanting more!

Ingredients:

– 2 large sweet potatoes

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup whole milk

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– Pinch of salt

– 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

– Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

2. Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly, then pierce them several times with a fork. Place the sweet potatoes on a microwave-safe plate and microwave them on high for about eight minutes, or until they are soft and cooked through. Allow the sweet potatoes to cool, then peel them and mash the flesh with a potato masher or fork in a large bowl.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Mix these ingredients well before pouring them over the mashed sweet potatoes.

4. Using a hand mixer or whisk, blend the wet ingredients into the sweet potato mash until smooth and uniform in consistency. If you’d like to add some crunchiness to your pudding, fold in the chopped pecans at this point.

5. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly using a spatula.

6. Bake the sweet potato pudding for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving. For an extra touch of indulgence, top each slice with a dollop of whipped cream.

Conclusion:

This easy-to-make sweet potato pudding is perfect for any occasion and will surely become a favorite among your friends and family. It’s not only delicious but also full of nutritious ingredients, making it a guilt-free dessert you can enjoy whenever you please! So gather your ingredients, whip up this delectable treat, and savor every spoonful of this heavenly dessert.
