Combining the crunchiness of Fritos chips, savory chili and gooey melted cheese, this delightful meal has won millions of hearts. In this article, we share with you the best Frito Pie recipe that is sure to become a cherished dish in your household!

Ingredients:

– 1 large bag of Fritos corn chips

– 2 cans of your favorite chili (or 4 cups of homemade chili)

– 1 medium onion, finely chopped

– 1 bell pepper, diced

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– Optional toppings: sour cream, jalapenos, guacamole, or pico de gallo

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather your ingredients.

2. In an oven-safe casserole dish or skillet, create a layer of Fritos chips covering the entire bottom.

3. Heat the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. If using canned chili, stir occasionally to ensure even heating. If using homemade chili, follow your preferred recipe and have it hot and ready for assembly.

4. Spoon the warm chili evenly over the Fritos layer in your casserole dish or skillet.

5. Scatter the chopped onion and diced bell pepper on top of the chili layer.

6. Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ingredients, ensuring complete coverage.

7. Place your assembled Frito Pie into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Remove from oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

9. Serve with optional toppings such as sour cream, jalapenos, guacamole or pico de gallo for added flavor and customization.

Conclusion:

This best Frito Pie recipe is not only quick and easy to make, but it’s also guaranteed to please the entire family.
