Are you tired of using harsh chemicals to clean your oven? Well, you’re in luck, because there are natural alternatives that can effectively clean your oven without adveversely affecting your health or the environment. In this article, we’ll discuss three ways to make natural oven cleaner using ingredients commonly found in your home.

1. Baking Soda and Vinegar

One of the most popular and effective ways to make a natural oven cleaner is by combining baking soda and vinegar. These ingredients work together to break down grease and grime without causing damage to your appliance.

Ingredients:

– ½ cup baking soda

– Water

– White vinegar

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, mix the baking soda with enough water to form a thick paste.

2. Remove the oven racks and any debris from the bottom of the oven.

3. Apply the paste on the interior of the oven, avoiding heating elements.

4. Let it sit overnight or for at least 8 hours.

5. In the morning, use a damp cloth to remove the paste.

6. Spray white vinegar over any remaining residue, allowing it to react with any leftover baking soda before wiping clean.

2. Lemon Juice and Salt

Lemons are not only great for adding flavor to meals, but they also have excellent cleaning capabilities due to their acidity. Paired with abrasive salt, this natural oven cleaner works wonders.

Ingredients:

– 2 lemons

– ½ cup salt

Instructions:

1. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out their juice into a small bowl.

2. Mix the lemon juice with salt until you get a paste-like consistency.

3. Remove your oven racks and preheat your oven at its lowest temperature setting for about five minutes; then turn it off.

4. Apply the lemon-salt paste on the warm oven, avoiding heating elements.

5. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes, or until your oven has cooled.

6. Use a damp cloth to wipe away the paste and debris.

3. Orange Peels and White Vinegar

This natural oven cleaner uses a citrusy twist by combining orange peels with white vinegar, which can help break down grease and leave a pleasant scent.

Ingredients:

– 1 cup white vinegar

– Orange peels from 2 oranges

– Spray bottle

Instructions:

1. Place the orange peels inside a jar and pour in the white vinegar.

2. Seal the jar and let it sit for at least two weeks, allowing the orange oil to infuse into the vinegar.

3. After two weeks, strain the liquid into a spray bottle.

4. Remove your oven racks and preheat the oven at its lowest temperature setting for five minutes before turning off.

5. Generously spray the infused vinegar onto all oven surfaces, avoiding heating elements.

6. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes before wiping clean with a damp cloth.

In conclusion, you can now ditch those chemical-laden oven cleaners and opt for these natural alternatives that are not only effective but also eco-friendly and budget-friendly. Give these methods a try and see how sparkling clean your oven can become while using safe ingredients!
