DC Comics has a vast array of iconic superheroes, but some of the best weren’t originally created by the company. Here’s a list of the top 10 DC heroes that came from other sources:

  1. Shazam (Captain Marvel): Originally created by Fawcett Comics, this magical hero joined DC in 1972.
  2. Plastic Man: Created by Quality Comics, he became a DC character in 1956.
  3. Blue Beetle: The Ted Kord version was originally a Charlton Comics hero before joining DC.
  4. The Question: Another Charlton Comics creation that found a new home at DC.
  5. Captain Atom: Also from Charlton Comics, he became an integral part of the DC universe.
  6. Static: Originally from Milestone Comics, this electrifying hero later joined the DC roster.
  7. Wildcat: Created for All-American Publications, which later merged with DC.
  8. Uncle Sam: Originally from Quality Comics, this patriotic hero now fights for justice in the DC universe.
  9. Phantom Lady: Another Quality Comics hero who transitioned to DC.
  10. The Spirit: Created by Will Eisner, this masked detective had several crossovers with DC before becoming part of their universe.

These characters have enriched the DC universe with their unique backgrounds and powers, proving that great heroes can come from various creative sources.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
