What Are TikTok Stories? How to Create a TikTok Story

TikTok Stories are a new feature that the popular social media app has added to its platform. Similar to Instagram and Snapchat Stories, TikTok Stories are a way to share your personal updates and daily moments with your followers.

Creating a TikTok Story is a simple process, and it’s a great way to engage with your audience and increase your popularity on the platform. Here are some steps to follow when creating your first TikTok Story.

1. Open the TikTok app and click on the plus button to create a new post.

2. Instead of choosing a sound or music as usual, you’ll see a new option at the top of the screen called “Create Story”. Click on it to get started.

3. You’ll be directed to a new screen that will allow you to create a story using the content on your phone. You can choose to take a photo or record a video, just like you would for a regular TikTok post.

4. After creating your content, you can add stickers, text, and other effects to enhance your story. Similar to other social media platforms, TikTok Stories have filters and effects that you can use to create the perfect story.

5. Once you’ve added your desired elements, click the “Next” button to move on to the final step.

6. You can now choose to either publish your story immediately or schedule it to go live at a different time. Additionally, you can choose to share your story with your followers, or you can restrict it to a specific audience.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
