As an iPhone or iPad user, it is crucial to know how to find the IMEI number on your device. The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is a unique identifier that is used to identify your device when connected to a network. There are various ways to find the IMEI number on your iPhone or iPad, and in this article, we will discuss some of the most common methods.

Method 1: Dial *#06#

One of the quickest and easiest ways to find your iPhone or iPad’s IMEI number is to dial *#06# on your device’s dial pad. After dialing the code, your device will display the IMEI number on the screen. You can quickly take a screenshot of the number or jot it down in a safe place.

Method 2: Check the SIM tray

Another way to find the IMEI number is by checking the SIM tray. For iPhone models that use a SIM card, eject the SIM tray using a paperclip or SIM ejector tool. Once you have removed the SIM tray, you will find the IMEI number printed on the back of the tray.

Method 3: Check the Settings app

You can also find the IMEI number by checking the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap About.
  4. Scroll down to find the IMEI field. The number will be displayed beside it.

Method 4: Check the back of your device

For older iPhone models, you can find the IMEI number by looking at the back of your device. The IMEI number is usually printed at the bottom of the device, below the “Designed by Apple in California” label.

Method 5: Check the original packaging

If you still have the original packaging of your iPhone or iPad, you can find the IMEI number on the barcode or label on the box. Look for the label that says “IMEI/MEID” and find the corresponding number beside it.
