The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is a new service that has been released by the video game giant, Nintendo. This new service is an upgrade to the basic Nintendo Switch Online service and provides users with additional features and benefits. While there has been some hesitation about upgrading to the new service, there are several reasons why you should consider making the switch.

Additional Payment Options

One of the primary benefits of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is the additional payment options. Nintendo Switch Online only allowed users to pay through the eShop via credit cards or PayPal. However, the new service adds the option to purchase a membership card from select retailers. For individuals who prefer to use cash, this new feature can make purchasing the service more seamless.

Improved Library of NES and SNES Games

Another significant benefit of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is the improved library of NES and SNES games. The basic Nintendo Switch Online service provided users with access to a limited selection of retro games. However, the expansion pack provides users with an extensive collection of classic games from both the NES and SNES consoles. With so many timeless games available, individuals can relive childhood memories and experience classic games that they missed out on during their youth.

New Additions to Animal Crossing

For those who enjoy playing Animal Crossing, the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack offers new updates and add-ons to the game. This includes the ability to customize your character’s interior and exterior, as well as access to exclusive items and events that are only available to users who have upgraded to the expansion pack.

Access to Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis Games

Along with an improved library of NES and SNES games, the expansion pack also provides access to Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games. This opens up an extensive collection of classic games from two gaming systems that many individuals grew up with. With the expansion pack, individuals can experience nostalgic games like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Lower Cost Than Purchasing Retro Games Individually

Another reason to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is the lower cost compared to purchasing retro games individually. Many of the classic games available on the service would be expensive if purchased individually. However, with the expansion pack, individuals have access to a larger library of games for a lower price.
