In an increasingly digital world, many students are taking advantage of online learning opportunities to supplement their classroom learning. While there are many benefits to online learning, such as flexibility and convenience, here are six reasons why online learning can be effective.

  1. Flexibility: Online learning allows students to choose the time and place of their learning. This can be especially helpful for students who have busy schedules or who are unable to attend class regularly.
  2. Cost: Online learning is often less expensive than traditional classroom learning. This can be significant savings for students who need to devote a large portion of their income to tuition costs.
  3. Engagement: Online learning offers a level of engagement that is not possible in a traditional classroom setting. This can be beneficial for students who need more individualized instruction or who are less motivated by traditional classroom activities.
  4. Accessibility: Online learning is often more accessible than traditional classroom learning. This can be beneficial for students who have difficulty traveling or who have disabilities that make attending a traditional classroom difficult.
  5. Multimedia: Many online learning courses include multimedia elements that can be beneficial for students who need more visual stimulation during their learning.
  6. Centralization: Many online learning courses are centralized, which means that all of the course materials are available in one place. This can be helpful for students who need to keep track of their progress and who prefer to have all of their course materials in one place.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
