Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most beloved franchises in Hollywood history. With incredible action sequences, stunning visuals, and an unbeatable cast, this series has captured the hearts of millions. However, with five movies in the canon, it can be hard to know which to watch first. So, without further ado, here’s how to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies in order!

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

This is where it all began. The first film details the origin story of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann. It’s the perfect way to introduce yourself to the world of Pirates of the Caribbean and get a sense of the characters and their motivations.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)

Following on from the first film, this sequel sees the characters embark on another adventure, this time to find the heart of Davy Jones. With plenty of swashbuckling action and fantastic set pieces, it’s a must-watch for fans.

3. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007)

The final chapter in the original trilogy, At World’s End sees our heroes try to save the pirate way of life from the corrupt East India Trading Company. This movie brings the story to a grand conclusion and ties up loose ends from the first two films.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

This is technically a standalone film but still features Captain Jack Sparrow and several other familiar faces. It’s a bit of a departure from the first three, but it’s still worth a watch to see what the characters have been up to.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)

The fifth and most recent installment in the series. Dead Men Tell No Tales sees Captain Jack Sparrow return to his roots as he searches for the legendary Trident of Poseidon. It’s a fun ride that ties up the story nicely.

So there you have it, that’s how to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies in order. Whether you’re a diehard fan or a newcomer to the series, these films are sure to provide plenty of fun, thrills, and adventure. Happy watching!
