Samsung Keyboard is one of the most widely used keyboard applications on smartphones today. It not only provides an easy typing experience but also offers various functions that can help improve your productivity. Whether you just got a new Samsung phone or have been using one for years, here’s your complete guide on how to use Samsung Keyboard like a pro!

Customize Keyboard Settings

Before we dive into the features and tricks of Samsung Keyboard, let’s first customize the settings according to your preference. You can do this by going to “Settings,” “General management” and then “Language and input.” Here you can choose Samsung Keyboard and customize the settings.

Some of the essential settings that can be customized include Language, Keyboard size and layout, Predictive text, Auto-replace, Swipe/Flick Typing, and Keypress sounds.

Use Predictive Text

The Samsung Keyboard comes with an advanced predictive text feature that can significantly improve typing speed and accuracy. This smart feature suggests words based on your previous typing behavior and the context of the current sentence.

To use predictive text, you must enable it in the keyboard settings. Once done, you will notice the suggested words/propositions appear above the keyboard as you type. Just tap on the desired word suggestion to insert the word into the text field.

Use Swipe Gesture Typing

One of the most convenient typing methods on the Samsung Keyboard is Swipe/Flick Typing. This feature lets you swipe your finger across the keyboard to form words instead of tapping individual keys. This is a straightforward yet productive feature when typing in a hurry.

To use this feature, ensure it is enabled in the keyboard settings. Then, swipe your finger over the letters required to form the word. The keyboard will read the swipe motion and recognize the word correctly.

Use Clipboard

The clipboard is a handy feature that lets you copy, cut, and paste text/data between applications on your Samsung phone quickly. To access the clipboard, tap and hold the “+” button (next to the predictive text bar) on your Samsung Keyboard.

You can then view and access past clipboard content. Alternatively, when you copy/cut any data on your phone, it gets saved to the clipboard automatically.

Use Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts are a faster way to access specific features or functions on your Samsung phone. You can use them to perform a specific action, such as composing an email, opening the camera app, or toggling the airplane mode. You can customize these shortcuts to suit your preferences.

To customize Keyboard shortcuts, go to “Settings,” “Advanced features,” “Quick shortcuts,” and choose your preferred shortcuts.

Final Words

Samsung Keyboard is a reliable and efficient keyboard application for smartphones that offers a wide range of customization options that can make typing on your phone more productive and seamless. The features mentioned above will help you use this keyboard like a pro!
