Virtual reality has moved beyond just gaming into the fitness world with the introduction of Oculus Move. Oculus Move is a fitness tracking feature that is available on Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, which allows users to track their physical activity during VR workouts. This feature is particularly beneficial in the current scenario where gyms are closed, and people are cooped up indoors most of the time.

Now, how can you use Oculus Move to track your fitness goals? Here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Enable Oculus Move:

First things first, make sure that your Oculus Quest or Quest 2 is updated to the latest firmware version. Then, head to the settings menu of your device, and under the ‘Device’ tab, you should see an option called ‘Oculus Move.’ Enable the feature to start tracking your physical activity.

Step 2: Set up your fitness profile:

Once you have enabled Oculus Move, you will be prompted to set up your fitness profile. This includes your age, gender, height, and weight. Once you fill in all the details, Oculus Move will calculate your daily calorie goals and sync your activity data to your Oculus account.

Step 3: Start your workout:

Now that you have set up your fitness profile, you’re all set to start your workout. Launch the VR fitness app of your choice and start to move. Oculus Move will automatically track your activity, and you can check your progress anytime by pressing the ‘Oculus’ button on your controller and opening the Oculus Move app.

Step 4: Review your activity:

After your workout or at any point during your session, you can check your progress and review your activity data on the Oculus Move app. This data includes information about the calories burned, time spent exercising, and the level of intensity of your workout.

Step 5: Set your fitness goals:

To achieve your desired fitness level, you need to set your fitness goals. Oculus Move allows you to set daily calorie goals based on your activity level, so you can measure your progress and adjust your workout routine accordingly.

In conclusion, Oculus Move is an excellent tool for tracking your fitness goals in the world of virtual reality. With this feature, you don’t need to venture outdoors for a workout, and you can monitor your progress every step of the way. Follow these five steps to get the most out of Oculus Move and reach your fitness goals. Happy workouts!
