Lock screen widgets are a great way to quickly access your favorite apps, notifications, and other important information without needing to unlock your phone. They allow you to customize your lock screen to show the information that matters most to you. Samsung phones come equipped with the ability to add widgets to your lock screen to make things easier for you. Here’s how you can use lock screen widgets on your Samsung phone:

Step 1: Go to Your Home Screen

Unlock your phone and go to the home screen.

Step 2: Access the Widgets Panel

Tap and hold on to a blank space on the screen or pinch in the display. This will get you access to the Widgets panel.

Step 3: Select Your Widget

Choose the widget that you want to add to your lock screen. Some popular options include weather widgets, music player widgets, and calendar widgets, amongst others.

Step 4: Edit Your Widget

Tap and hold your widget of choice, then drag it to the lock screen area. You can also edit the widget to customize its setting and functionality to suit your needs.

Step 5: Test Your Widget

Press the power button on your phone to lock the device, and then press it again to wake the screen. If you have done everything right, you should see the widget on your lock screen.

Step 6: Move or Remove Your Widget

If you do not like the new location of your widget, Tap and hold the widget and drag it to the desired location on your lock screen, you can also remove it entirely by dragging it back to the Widget panel.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
