Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms, and users can easily connect with other users from all around the world. However, there may be instances where users may want to block someone. In such cases, they usually have to unblock the person at some point in the future. In this article, we will be discussing how to unblock someone on Instagram.

Step 1: Open Instagram

The first step to unblocking someone on Instagram is to launch the app on your smartphone. Once the application has been launched, go ahead and sign in if you aren’t already signed in.

Step 2: Access your profile

Once you have signed in, access your profile by tapping on the icon that resembles a person in the bottom menu. This icon is located on the far right-hand side of the bottom menu.

Step 3: Access the settings menu

After accessing your profile, tap on the icon that resembles three horizontal lines located in the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the settings menu.

Step 4: Access your blocked users list

Once you are in the settings menu, scroll down until you find the “Privacy” section. Tap on this section, and a new page will open.

Step 5: Look for a specific user

On the page that has opened, look for the “Blocked Accounts” option. Tap on this option, and a list of all the users you have blocked will be displayed. Search for the user you want to unblock.

Step 6: Unblock the user

After locating the user you want to unblock, tap on their username. This will take you to their profile page. Once you are on their profile page, look for the “Unblock” button and tap on it. You’ll receive a pop-up that reads, “Are you sure you want to unblock this user?” Tap on “Yes”.

Step 7: Follow the user again

After unblocking a user, you’ll need to follow them again if you want their updates to appear in your feed. To do so, go back to their profile page and click on the “Follow” button.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
