The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is the latest gaming console from Sony that offers a host of new features and enhanced gaming experience. While playing games on your PS5 is an enjoyable experience, there may be times when you need to turn it off completely. However, unlike its predecessors, turning off the PS5 completely is not as simple as pressing a button. This article will guide you on how to turn off your PS5 completely.

Method 1: Using the PS5 Controller

The first way to turn off your PS5 is by using the PS5 controller. To do this, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Press and hold the PS button on your controller until the quick menu appears.

Step 2: Navigate to the Power icon and select it.

Step 3: Select the option “Turn Off PS5.”

Step 4: Select “Turn Off” on the confirmation screen.

Your PS5 will power down completely, and the controller will turn off too. Remember that if you turn off your PS5 using this method, you will not be able to charge your controller through your PS5.

Method 2: Using the Power Button

The second way to turn off your PS5 is by using the power button on the console. To do this, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Press and hold the power button on the front of your console until you hear two beeps. The first beep will sound when you press the power button, and the second beep will sound after a few seconds.

Step 2: Release the power button after the second beep, and your PS5 will turn off completely.

Method 3: Using the PS App

The third way to turn off your PS5 is by using the PS App on your smartphone. To do this, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open the PS App on your smartphone and sign in to your PlayStation account.

Step 2: Tap on the “Console” tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Select your PS5 from the list of available consoles.

Step 4: Tap on the power icon near the top right corner of the screen.

Step 5: Select “Full Shutdown” and confirm your choice.

Your PS5 will power down completely after a few seconds.
