If you are a Metro PCS customer and looking forward to trading in your old phone, this article is for you. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to trade in your Metro PCS phone.

1. Check your eligibility:

Before trading in your phone, make sure that you are eligible for an upgrade. To check your eligibility, log in to your Metro PCS account and check your account status or contact customer service.

2. Choose a new device:

Next, select a new device upfront to trade in your old phone. You can either buy a new phone outright or finance it through one of Metro PCS’s payment plans.

3. Check the trade-in value of your old phone:

Determine the trade-in value of your phone by visiting the Metro PCS website or by contacting customer service. The value depends on the phone’s age, condition, and model type.

4. Backup your data:

Before trading in your phone, backup the data on your old device. This can be done either using cloud storage or via a USB cable.

5. Wipe your phone clean:

Make sure to wipe clean all the data from your old phone before trading it in. This is for both security and privacy reasons. Go to settings > reset > factory data reset to erase all the data on your phone.

6. Get the trade-in kit:

Get the kit for trading in your phone from the Metro PCS store or the website. The kit should contain a prepaid shipping label and instructions on how to pack your phone.

7. Pack your phone:

Pack your phone according to the instructions provided in the kit carefully. Ensure that it’s secure and that no damage will be inflicted while in transit.

8. Ship your phone:

Using the prepaid shipping label provided in the kit, mail your phone to the address provided. Remember to keep the tracking number for reference if necessary.

9. Wait for the credit:

After Metro PCS receives your phone, it will take about two to three weeks before the credit appears on your account. You can also opt for an instant credit if you trade-in your phone at a Metro PCS store.

In conclusion, trading in your old Metro PCS phone is easy and hassle-free. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll be able to upgrade to a new phone in no time. Remember to backup your data, wipe your phone clean, and carefully pack it before shipping it off. Happy trading!
