Taking a screenshot on any device is a useful tool, and the Microsoft Surface laptop is no exception. With its sleek design and unique features, the Surface laptop has become popular among users. Here’s a guide on how to take a screenshot on your Surface laptop.

Method 1: Using Keyboard shortcuts

The Surface laptop has a built-in keyboard that makes taking a screenshot easy. This is the fastest and most convenient way of taking a screenshot on a Surface laptop.

Step 1:

Choose the screen you want to capture.

Step 2:

Press the “Windows key + PrtScr” simultaneously. The screen will briefly dim to indicate the screenshot was taken.

Step 3:

The screenshot will be saved on the “Screenshots” folder in the “Pictures” directory.

Method 2: Using Snipping Tool

The Snipping Tool is a more advanced tool that allows you to capture a specific part of the screen. Here’s how to use it:

Step 1:

Launch the Snipping Tool by searching for it in the Windows search bar.

Step 2:

Click the “New” button to start a new snip.

Step 3:

Select the area of the screen you want to capture.

Step 4:
Save the screenshot by clicking on “File” and selecting “Save As.”

Method 3:Using Surface Pen

The Surface Pen adds another layer of convenience when taking a screenshot. With the pen, you can take a screenshot of a specific part of the screen or make annotations on the screenshot.

Step 1:

Press the button on the Surface Pen.

Step 2:

Tap the pen on the screen and hold until the screen dims.

Step 3:

A screenshot of the area around the pen tip will be captured.

Step 4:

The screenshot can also be edited using the Surface Pen.

In conclusion, taking a screenshot is an easy and useful feature on the Surface laptop. The keyboard shortcut and the Snipping Tool are both quick ways to take a screenshot, while the Surface Pen adds more features and controls to the process. Try all these methods to find the one that suits your needs.
