In Zoom meetings, it can be difficult to know when to speak up. One way to indicate that you have a question or comment is to raise your hand. Here’s how to raise a hand in Zoom:
1. Click on the “Participants” button
At the bottom of the Zoom window, you will see a button labeled “Participants”. Click on this button to open the Participants panel.
2. Click on “Raise Hand”
In the Participants panel, you will see a button labeled “Raise Hand”. Click on this button to raise your hand.
3. Lower your hand
Once you have finished speaking or your question has been answered, you can lower your hand by clicking on the “Lower Hand” button in the Participants panel.
4. Use Keyboard Shortcut
You can also raise your hand using a keyboard shortcut. Simply press “Alt+Y” (Windows) or “Option+Y” (Mac) to raise your hand. To lower your hand, press the same keyboard shortcut again.
5. Use the Zoom Mobile App
If you are using the Zoom mobile app, you can raise your hand by tapping on the “More” button at the bottom of your screen and then selecting “Raise Hand” from the menu. To lower your hand, tap on the “Lower Hand” button in the same menu.
Raising your hand in Zoom meetings is a great way to indicate that you have a question or comment. By following these simple steps, you can easily raise your hand in your next Zoom meeting.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
