1. Gather your tools: To pluck facial hair effectively, you will need a good pair of tweezers, a small magnifying mirror, and rubbing alcohol to sterilize the tweezer tips.

2. Cleanse your face: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser to remove any makeup, dirt, or oil that may interfere with the plucking process.

3. Soften the skin: Apply a warm, damp washcloth to your face for a few minutes to soften the skin and open up the hair follicles.

4. Choose your location: Find a well-lit area where you can see your facial hair clearly in the mirror; natural sunlight is preferable if possible.

5. Sterilize your tweezers: Wipe down the tips of your tweezers with rubbing alcohol to ensure they are clean and bacteria-free.

6. Identify the hairs to be plucked: Look at your face in the mirror and pinpoint which individual hairs need to be removed.

7. Hold your skin taut: With one hand, gently pull your skin taut near the hair you want to pluck. This will help make it easier to grasp the hair with the tweezers and reduce pain during plucking.

8. Position the tweezers: Hold your tweezers at a slight angle and make sure the tips are aligned with the hair root.

9. Pluck the hair: Grasp the unwanted hair firmly with your tweezers as close to the root as possible; then, pull it out swiftly in the direction of its growth. Be careful not to apply too much pressure; going slowly may result in pulling out the hair’s top instead of its root or causing breakage.

10. Wipe away any residue: After each successful pluck, wipe away any hair or debris from your tweezers using a tissue or cotton pad.

11. Repeat the process: Go through your targeted areas, plucking any unwanted hairs one by one until your face is clear.

12. Soothe your skin: After plucking, apply an ice cube or a cold compress to calm the skin for a few minutes. Follow with an alcohol-free toner or witch hazel to reduce redness and irritation.

13. Maintain plucked facial hair: Keep an eye on regrowth and repeat the process as needed to maintain a smooth, hair-free appearance. With time and patience, you’ll find that plucking facial hair becomes more manageable and less frequent.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
