Spread the love

With a TracFone, you can easily connect with your loved ones abroad and stay connected with them all the time. Here are the steps to make international calls on a TracFone.

1. Ensure That Your TracFone Account Is Active

Before making international calls, ensure that your TracFone account is active and that you have enough airtime or minutes. To check your account balance, dial *777# and follow the prompts.

2. Dial the International Access Code

To make an international call from the US, you need to dial the international access code, which is 011. This tells your carrier that you want to make an international call.

3. Dial the Country Code

After dialing the international access code, you need to dial the country code for the country you want to call. The country code is a unique code assigned to each country by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). A list of country codes can be found on the ITU website. For example, the country code for the United Kingdom is 44.

4. Dial the Area Code and Phone Number

Once you have dialed the country code, you need to dial the area code (if any) and the phone number of the person you want to call. Check with your recipient for their area code or any other number prefix they might have.

5. Press the Send Button

After dialing the number, press the send button to make the call. If you encounter any problems during the call, try ending the call and dialing again.

6. Consider Using TracFone’s International Calling Plan

TracFone offers an international calling plan, which allows you to make international calls at discounted rates. The plan includes various options, such as a $10 Global Card, which gives you 300 minutes to call over 100 international destinations for 30 days. This option is perfect for travelers or those who frequently make international calls.

In conclusion, making international calls on TracFone is simple and easy, and the service provider gives you various options to keep in touch with your loved ones abroad. Be sure to check your account balance, dial the international access code, country code, area code (if any), and the phone number, and press the send button to make the call. Alternatively, consider TracFone’s international calling plan to make regular international calls at discounted rates.
