The 30-30-30 hard reset rule is a technique that can be used to reset a router that is not functioning properly. By performing this reset, you can clear out any issues that may be causing problems with your router, and start fresh with a clean slate. In this article, we will show you how to follow the 30-30-30 hard reset rule for routers.

Step 1: Access the Router

First, you need to access your router. To do this, connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable. Open your web browser, and enter the router’s IP address in the address bar. This will take you to the router’s login page.

Step 2: Perform the First 30-Second Reset

Once you have logged in, locate the reset button on your router. It is usually located at the back of the router, and you may need a paperclip or a similar tool to press it. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds. This will perform the first 30-second reset.

Step 3: Perform the Second 30-Second Reset

After the first 30 seconds, continue to hold down the reset button for another 30 seconds. This will perform the second 30-second reset.

Step 4: Perform the Final 30-Second Reset

Once the second 30-second reset is complete, release the reset button, and wait for the router to reboot. After it has been fully rebooted, press and hold the reset button for a final 30 seconds. This will perform the final 30-second reset.

Step 5: Reconfigure the Router

Once the final 30-second reset is complete, your router should be fully reset. You will need to reconfigure it to your specific settings. This includes setting up your network name and password, as well as any other custom settings that you had before the reset.

In conclusion, the 30-30-30 hard reset rule is a straightforward process that can help you clear out any issues with your router. While it may seem like a drastic solution, it can be a useful tool to have in your arsenal when your router is causing problems. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily perform the 30-30-30 hard reset on your router and get it back to functioning properly.
