How to Fix It When Your Fitbit Won’t Turn On

Fitbit is a popular brand of fitness trackers that helps users monitor their physical activity, sleep, and other health-related metrics. However, just like any other electronic device, a Fitbit may sometimes fail to turn on. This can be frustrating, especially for fitness enthusiasts who rely on their Fitbits to track their progress. If you are experiencing this issue, don’t worry – here are some steps you can take to fix it.

Charge your Fitbit

The most common reason why your Fitbit may not turn on is because it’s out of battery. So, the first solution you should try is to charge it. To do this, connect your Fitbit to the charging cable that came with it and plug it into a power source. Make sure the charging pins on the cable are correctly aligned with the corresponding ports on the Fitbit. Leave it to charge for at least an hour.

Reset your Fitbit

If your Fitbit still won’t turn on after charging, it might be due to a software glitch. Try resetting your device to fix this issue. To do this, press and hold the button on your Fitbit for about 15 seconds until the screen turns off. Release the button, and then try turning on your Fitbit again.

Check for physical damage

Another reason why your Fitbit may not turn on is physical damage. Check your device for any visible damage, such as cracks or scratches. If you see any, it might be time to replace your Fitbit. However, if there is no visible damage, try cleaning the charging port with a dry cloth, as debris or dirt could be preventing your Fitbit from charging.

Contact Fitbit support

If none of the above solutions work, it’s time to contact Fitbit customer support. They can help diagnose the issue and guide you on how to fix it. You can either submit a support request on the Fitbit website or contact them through their social media channels.

In conclusion, a Fitbit that won’t turn on can be frustrating, but there are simple solutions you can try on your own. Charge your device, reset it, check for physical damage, and if all else fails, contact customer support. With patience and persistence, you can get your Fitbit back up and running in no time.
