Spread the love

If you have recently acquired a Dell laptop, you may be wondering when the device was manufactured. Luckily, if you know where to look, you can quickly find this information on your laptop.

Here’s how you can locate the manufacture date on your Dell laptop.

Step 1: Turn on your computer

Press the power button of your Dell laptop to turn it on. Wait for the device to start up completely so that you can access the desktop.

Step 2: Locate the Service Tag

You will need the service tag number to find the manufacture date of your Dell laptop. The service tag number is a unique identifier assigned to each device by Dell. It is typically printed on the bottom of the laptop or on a service tag sticker that also includes other information about the device.

Step 3: Visit the Dell Support Website

Once you have located the service tag, go to the Dell Support Website using any web browser on your Dell laptop or any other device. On the Dell Support Website, you can access various resources related to your Dell laptop, including drivers, warranty information, and manuals.

Step 4: Enter the Service Tag number

On the Dell Support website, you will see a search bar at the top of the page. Enter the Service Tag number in the search bar and wait for the search results to appear.

Step 5: Check the Warranty Information

In the search results, click on the Warranty Information option. This will take you to a page that displays various information about your Dell laptop, including the date it was shipped, the warranty expiration date, and the date the device was purchased.

Step 6: Check the Shipped Date

Locate the Shipped Date information. The date displayed here is the manufacture date of your Dell laptop.

Conclusion:

By following these simple steps, you can easily find the manufacture date of your Dell laptop. Knowing the manufacture date can help you determine the age of your device and whether it is still under warranty. Additionally, it can help you estimate the lifespan of your laptop and plan for upgrades accordingly.
