Discord is a popular communication platform that allows gamers to connect, voice chat and collaborate with other gamers online. Discord offers a seamless voice chat experience, making it a preferred option for many gamers. However, many Xbox gamers often find it challenging to join Discord voice chat directly from their Xbox console. Fortunately, it is possible to join your Discord voice chat directly from your Xbox console with simple steps.

Step 1: Create or Join a Discord Server

Before you can join a Discord voice chat, you need to create or join a Discord Server. To create a Discord Server, open the Discord app on your PC or mobile device and click on the “+” button to create a new server. Give your new server a name and customize it to your preferences. Once you have created a server, invite your gaming friends to join the server by sharing the server link.

Alternatively, you can join an existing Discord Server by clicking on the “+” icon on the Discord app or website. Type in the Server invitation URL and click on “Join Server.”

Step 2: Link Your Xbox Account To Discord

After creating or joining a Discord Server, you need to link your Xbox account to Discord. To do this, open the Discord app on your PC or mobile device and go to User Settings. Under “Connections,” click on the Xbox icon and log in to your Xbox account when prompted. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Xbox account to Discord.

Step 3: Connect to Discord Voice Chat From Xbox

Once you have successfully linked your Xbox account to Discord, launch your Xbox console and search for games that support Discord voice chat. Once you have found a game, launch it and click on “Join Game Chat.” You will be prompted to authorize Discord to link to your Xbox account.

Click on “Authorize,” and your Xbox console will automatically connect to the Discord voice chat of the server you linked your Xbox account to. You can now communicate with your gaming friends over voice chat through Discord while playing your favorite Xbox games.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
