WhatsApp is a commonly used messaging app with millions of users globally. Despite its simple and user-friendly interface, some users might face issues while trying to delete certain contacts. This article aims to guide users on how to delete any WhatsApp contact.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp

Before anything else, you must open the WhatsApp app on your mobile device. Ensure that you are logged in with the account that has the contact you’d like to delete.

Step 2: Locate the contact

Next, find the contact that you wish to remove from your WhatsApp listing. To do this, navigate to the “Chats” screen of your WhatsApp app and browse through your contact list.

Step 3: Open contact’s profile

Once you have located the contact you want to delete, proceed to tap on their name to view their profile.

Step 4: Delete Contact

On the contact’s profile page, click on the three dots located on the top right corner of the screen. You will see a list of options. Click “Delete Contact” and confirm your action by tapping on “Delete Contact” again.

Step 5: Contact deleted

You have successfully deleted the contact from your WhatsApp account. You will no longer be able to send or receive messages, calls, or media from the deleted contact.

Conclusion

Deleting a contact from WhatsApp is quite easy, as seen above. It’s worth noting that if you have a group chat with the deleted contact, they will still receive messages from the group but privately. However, they won’t be able to view group updates and chat history

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
