How to Create Folders in Android
Creating folders on your Android device can help you stay organized and make it easier to find the apps and files you need. Here’s how to create folders on your Android device:
Step 1: Long press on an app icon and drag it
To create a folder, start by long pressing on the app icon that you want to include in the folder. Once you’ve pressed and held the icon, move it to any other app that you want to add to the new folder.
Step 2: Drag the app to an empty space on the home screen
Once you have two or more apps, you can then drag them to an empty space on your device’s home screen. You should notice that the apps you selected are now together in a group, and a folder will automatically be created for these apps.
Step 3: Name your new folder
Now that you’ve created a folder, you want to name it to make it easy to find. To do this, tap on the folder to open it, and then tap on the text box that says “Unnamed Folder”. You can now enter your desired folder name and hit the “OK” button. The name that you enter will now appear on the folder icon.
Step 4: Add or Remove Apps from a Folder
You can add or remove apps from your folder at any time. To add more apps to a folder, simply long press the app you want to add and drag it to the folder. To remove an app, long press the app icon in the folder, and move it out of the folder.
Step 5: Organize Your Home Screen
After you create a folder, you can move it around your home screen to organize it in the best way possible. To do this, simply long press the folder icon and drag it to a different location on the screen. You can even move the folder to another home screen by dragging it to the edge of the screen.
