Gmail is a widely used email service provider that offers numerous features to its users to make their email management easier. One of the features that Gmail offers is creating custom mailing lists. A mailing list is a collection of email addresses, which can be used to send emails or newsletters to a group of people that share common interests or purposes. In this article, we will guide you on how to create a custom mailing list in Gmail.

Step 1: Open Your Gmail Account

The first step is to open your Gmail account by logging in.

Step 2: Click on Contacts

Once you have logged in to your Gmail account, click on the “Gmail” menu icon at the top left corner of your screen. A drop-down menu will appear, and then select the “Contacts” option.

Step 3: Create a New Group

After clicking on the Contacts option, a new window will open, and you will see different options on the left-hand side. Next, click on the “Create a new label” option, and a popup box will appear. In this box, enter the name of your mailing list.

Step 4: Add Contacts to the New Group

Once you have created the new group, you can add contacts to it by selecting the “Add a Contact” button or by importing contacts from a CSV file. If you want to add multiple contacts, select the checkboxes next to the names, and then click on the “Manage Labels” button at the top of the page.

Step 5: Assign Contacts to the New Group

Once you’ve selected the contacts, click on the “Manage Labels” button at the top of the page. Then, select the label that you created for your mailing list, and click on the “Apply” button. This will assign the selected contacts to the new group.

Step 6: Compose and Send Emails to the Custom Mailing List

After you have created your custom mailing list, composing and sending emails is the final step. Open the Gmail compose window, compose your email, and then click on the “To” field. Type the name of the custom mailing list that you created, and select it from the list that appears. Then add your subject line and your message, and finally click the send button.

In conclusion, creating a custom mailing list in Gmail is a straightforward process, and it can make sending emails to groups of people much more efficient. Follow the above steps, and you can create your custom mailing list today!
