If you have a Roku TV and a soundbar, you may be wondering if there is a way to control them both with one remote. The answer is yes! In this article, we will discuss how to control your soundbar with a Roku TV remote.

Step 1: Turn on your soundbar

Make sure your soundbar is turned on and plugged in. If it has a power button on the device, press it to turn it on. If your soundbar is connected to a power outlet that is controlled by a switch, turn the switch on.

Step 2: Connect your soundbar to your TV

Many soundbars can be connected to your TV with an HDMI cable or an optical cable. You will need to consult the user manual for your specific soundbar to learn how to connect it to your TV. Once you have connected your soundbar to your TV, you should be able to control the volume using your TV remote.

Step 3: Pair your Roku TV remote with your soundbar

To pair your Roku TV remote with your soundbar, follow these steps:

1. Press the Home button on your Roku TV remote.

2. Go to Settings and select Remotes & devices.

3. Select Remote and select Set up remote for TV control.

4. Select your soundbar from the list of devices.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Once you have successfully paired your Roku TV remote with your soundbar, you should be able to control the volume and power of your soundbar using your TV remote. To adjust the volume, use the volume up and down buttons on your Roku TV remote.

If you have a universal remote that controls both your TV and your soundbar, you can program it to control both devices as well. Consult the user manual for your universal remote to learn how to program it to control your soundbar.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
