When you first get your new iPhone, it will come with a host of pre-installed apps. However, over time you may find that you prefer certain apps over others. For example, you may prefer a different email app or music player. Luckily, it is easy to change your default apps on the iPhone. This article will guide you through the steps to choosing your default apps on the iPhone.

Step 1: Determine which app you want to set as default

Before you can set an app as your default on the iPhone, you need to decide which app you want to use. Do you want to use a different email app, web browser, or music player? Once you have decided which app you want to use, you can move on to the next step.

Step 2: Find the app in settings

To set an app as your default on the iPhone, you need to go to the settings app. Find the app you want to set as default in the settings list. For example, if you want to set Google Chrome as your default browser, go to Settings -> Chrome.

Step 3: Tap on the app

Once you have found the app you want to set as your default, tap on it. This will bring up the app’s settings menu.

Step 4: Tap on “Default Browser” (or the equivalent)

In the app’s settings menu, look for the option to set the app as your default. Depending on the app, this may be called “Default Browser”, “Default Email App”, or something similar. Tap on this option.

Step 5: Choose the app you want to use

Once you tap on the “Default Browser” (or equivalent) option, you will see a list of apps you can choose from. Find the app you want to use and tap on it.

Step 6: Test it out

Once you have set your default app, test it out to make sure it is working properly. For example, if you set Google Chrome as your default browser, try opening a link to see if it opens in Chrome.

Conclusion

Choosing your default apps on the iPhone is a simple process that can help you get the most out of your phone. Whether you prefer a different email app, web browser, or music player, setting your default app can save you time and make your iPhone easier to use. Just follow these steps to choose your default apps and get started.
