Windows 11 is the latest operating system released by Microsoft, offering users a sleek and modern interface, improved performance, and new features. However, installing Windows 11 is only the first step in using the new OS. To enjoy all the benefits of this upgrade, you need to activate your copy of Windows 11. In this article, we will show you how to check whether Windows 11 is activated or not.

Method 1: Using the Settings App

The easiest way to check whether Windows 11 is activated is through the Settings app. Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Open the Settings app by clicking on the Start button and selecting Settings (the gear icon) or by pressing the Windows key + I shortcut.

Step 2: In the Settings app, click on the System option.

Step 3: In the System menu, scroll down and click on the About option.

Step 4: In the About menu, check the Activation status section. If your Windows 11 is activated, you should see the message “Windows is activated with a digital license” or “Windows is activated with a product key.”

Method 2: Using the Command Prompt

If you prefer using the Command Prompt to check whether Windows 11 is activated, follow these steps:

Step 1: Press the Windows key + X shortcut and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Step 2: In the Command Prompt or PowerShell, type the following command:
slmgr.vbs /xpr

Step 3: Press Enter and wait for a few seconds.

Step 4: A pop-up window will appear with the message “Windows is activated” or “Windows is not activated.” This message confirms your current activation status.

Method 3: Using the Control Panel

If you wish to use the Control Panel to check whether Windows 11 is activated, follow these steps:

Step 1: Press the Windows key + R shortcut to open the Run dialog box.

Step 2: In the Run dialog box, type control and press Enter.

Step 3: In the Control Panel, click on System and Security.

Step 4: In the System and Security menu, click on System.

Step 5: Scroll down to the Windows activation section, and you will see your current activation status.

In conclusion, checking whether Windows 11 is activated is a straightforward process that can be done through the Settings app, the Command Prompt, or the Control Panel. By using any of these methods, you can confirm your activation status and ensure that you are enjoying all the benefits of the latest and greatest Windows operating system.
