GoPro cameras are popular among adventurers, travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts for their compact size, durability and high-quality video output. However, to ensure long-lasting battery life, it’s essential to know how to properly charge the camera and batteries.

Here are the steps to follow:

Check the battery level: Before charging the GoPro camera or batteries, make sure you know the current battery level of your device.

Turn off the camera: It’s essential to turn off the camera, as the charging process won’t start until the camera is off, and the battery is in the right place.

Connect the USB cable: Connect one end of the USB cable to the camera and the other end to your computer or charger adapter. A red light on the front screen will indicate it’s charging.

Use the appropriate charger: While charging, ensure that the charger is meant for your GoPro model. Using a charger that is not specifically designed for the GoPro can lead to damage to the device.

Charging time: The time it takes to charge a GoPro camera or batteries depends on the model and the battery’s level. On average, it takes two hours to charge a GoPro camera fully.

Check the camera: Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the USB cable and turn on the camera to make sure it’s fully functional.

Replace the battery: GoPro cameras have removable batteries. If you have a second battery, you can replace the depleted battery with the charged one and continue using your device.

Store safely: When storing GoPro camera batteries, ensure they are stored separately and protected from sharp objects, heat, and water.

Conclusion:

Following the above steps will help ensure that your GoPro camera and batteries are charged correctly and last longer. Always use the appropriate charger and make sure to store the batteries safely. Happy shooting!
