How to Change Your Background on Microsoft Teams

When it comes to video conferencing on Microsoft Teams, having a good background can make all the difference in creating a professional and impressive experience. Fortunately, changing your background on Microsoft Teams is a quick and easy process.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Open Microsoft Teams and start a video call.

2. Once the call begins, click on the three dots on the control bar at the bottom of the screen.

3. From the pop-up menu, select “Show Background Effects.”

4. You’ll then see a selection of pre-installed background options. Simply click on the one you want to use.

5. If you don’t see anything you like, you can choose to “Add New” and select an image from your computer to use as your background. Just make sure it meets the image requirements for Teams: at least 360 x 360 pixels and in .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, or .png format.

6. Once you’ve chosen your background, it will appear in your video feed. You can also preview it before applying it to ensure it looks how you want.

And that’s all there is to it! Just remember that the option to change your background is only available during an active video call, so make sure you’re in one before trying to access the feature.

Another thing to note is that changing your background on Teams can eat up a lot of computational resources, depending on your computer’s power. To avoid slow transitions or system lag, try upgrading your hardware or sticking to simpler, less visually heavy images.

Overall, changing your background on Microsoft Teams is a great way to add a bit of personality and professionalism to your video calls. So give it a try and impress your colleagues, clients, and friends with your new look!
